Nintendo will discontinue Classic Mini NES
Launched in November 2016, the NES Classic Edition has brought many back to their child years. This new console, created to be simple to use, brought with it 30 classic games.
Just six months later, Nintendo decided to end production of the NES Classic Edition, something that leaves everyone surprised, given the acceptance it was having.
This console has been a true success story since it was released. Their stock quickly sold out, showing that the market welcomed her with open arms.
With just 30 games and the original NES image, the NES Classic Edition was ready to connect to the latest TVs, though it was limited to the 30 classic games it had inside.
"Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year. We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product. "
There are still no official reasons for this, but it is speculated that it may be associated with all the distribution problems of this console, which has repeatedly been depleted in the main markets. Each new batch that was released would run out in minutes.
Nintendo Mini NES have been seen to be sold on eBay for more than 200€ and with this decision to discontinue the hardware, the price will certainly increase.
