Instagram continues to grow and now has 700 million users

Moving from 300 million to 600 million took two years for Instagram, but the growth of social network does not seem to have plans to slow down, the company has just announced that increased the latter number by another 100 million in less than five months.

According to the company, which celebrated the 600 million mark last December, this was the period when its user base increased faster since there is registration.

What seems to be contributing to this positive phase is the Stories, also known as Snaps in the app by Evan Spiegel. The option was introduced last August and since then Instagram has already added more users to its accounts than those that exist throughout Snapchat (161 million at the end of 2016).

Despite the astronomical number, the platform remains behind other Facebook social services like WhatsApp (1.2 billion users), Messenger (1.2 billion users) and Facebook itself (1.86 billion Of users). The accelerating of growth, however, may cause some changes very soon!
