'Facebook Lite' is being used to spread malware
Facebook Lite is only available in some markets.
This was the response of the largest social network to slow INTERNET users.
This app is now being used to propagate malware and to install third-party apps without any authorization.
Malwarebytes Lab is now alerting to the existence of Facebook Lite in order to avoid a massive attack that steal information from users (Smart-phone ID, Android version, MAC Address, Location and Contacts) and sends them to remote servers.
The problem isn't Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Users choose to install this kind of applications from unknown sources even with the warning.
The company recommend you to only install secure apps from trusted sources inside of your official smartphone market.
